1. I want to give blood
The National Blood Service Agency (NBSA) says you can give if you:
- are healthy and between 18 and 65 years old
- weigh 50 kg or more
- lead a sexually safe lifestyle
- ate a meal at least 4 hours before
Men can give every 3 months. Women can give every 4 months. About 450 ml is taken. All blood groups (A, B, AB, O) are needed. The staff do a free health check and counselling first.

2. I need blood for a patient
First go to the hospital's blood bank or the nearest NBSA centre. If the hospital asks you to find donors, make a message and share it in your own groups. Nothing you type here is saved or sent by us.
3. Blood group chart
Red blood cells: who can give to whom (standard chart). The hospital always checks before a transfusion.
